I developed this website from scratch, because I wanted a platform where I could showcase my projects and skills.
Technologies
I chose Next.js for this project, because it is a great framework for building static and server-rendered websites. For the styling I used Tailwind CSS, because it is a great way to create a responsive and modern design without having to write a lot of custom CSS, which was perfect for this szenario.
Takeaways
This project was a great insight into Next.js and its server-side rendering capabilities. As deep as this topic is, I could only scratch the surface of Next.js and its possibilities. As Next.js app router isn't that long in the game, it sometimes was a bit tricky to look in the right places to solve problems, but overall it was a great experience and I definitely will work more with Next.js in the future.
